Arlene Papso

Arlene Papso, age 96, of Lower Burrell, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 25, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul Papso, who passed away in 2020. Their love story spanned decades, filled with cherished memories and unwavering devotion.

Arlene was a devoted mother to Paula (Tom) Ockree, Judy (the late Patrick) Pacuch, and John (Lynn) Papso. She was the heart of the family, a guiding light for her children. Her love extended to her grandchildren, Dan (Ashlee), Matthew (Atalie), Lauren (Alex), Melissa, Bryan, Jessica, Paul (Jen), and Ginny (Drew), who were her pride and joy. Her legacy continues through her seven great-grandchildren, each one a testament to her enduring love.

Arlene was preceded in death by her siblings, Andrew, Matt, and Beverly. Despite the losses she endured, she remained a pillar of strength and resilience for her family.

Arlene had a passion for reading and a talent for making every family gathering special. Her home was always filled with laughter, warmth, and the delicious aroma of her baking. In her younger years, she and Paul shared many adventures traveling and visiting casinos, creating countless happy memories.

In accordance with Arlene’s wishes, a funeral mass and burial will be private. Those who wish to honor her memory may make donations to Saint Margaret Mary Church.
