Barbara J Campbell, who was born in Latrobe, PA, on March 7, and passed away peacefully on September 5, 2026, after bravely battling a long-term illness. Barb was a beloved daughter, sister, and mother whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her. Barb was the cherished daughter of Jeanne Campbell and grew up alongside her four siblings, with whom she shared countless memories. As a devoted mother, she leaves behind her son, Coty, who was her pride and joy, nieces and nephews that she treated as her own children and many other family members and friends. Barb was known for her sense of humor, her unwavering kindness and her remarkable courage. Even in the darkest of times, her light and strength always shined through. Before her chronic illness, Barb dedicated her life to helping others as a medical assistant. Her compassionate nature and attentive listening skills made her a beloved colleague and friend to many in the healthcare community. She always cared about her patients and her coworkers, always going above and beyond. Barb found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid fan of crime shows and the Food Network, often drawing inspiration for her culinary creations. She enjoyed sharing and discussing a variety of recipes. Barb also had a deep affection for animals, especially for her feline companions, who brought her comfort and companionship throughout the years. Barb's family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff at UPMC Montefiore for their exceptional care and compassion during her illness. They also appreciate the support provided by countless professionals over the years that helped care and assist Barb. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no service. Barb's legacy of kindness, love, and resilience will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her. Barb always made a positive impression on every person she met. She will be lovingly remembered and forever missed.
