Bernie Frazier, 82, of Plum, passed away on July 6, 2022, at UPMC Shadyside, with his family by his side. He was born in Verona, Pa, on August 5, 1939, to the late Leo and Mildred (Bigenho) Frazier.
Bernie is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Shirley (Clawson); his beloved daughter Heather (Pete) Damron; grandchildren Devin Comfort and Helena and Hallee Damron. Along with his parents, Bernie was preceded in death by his daughter Heidi Frazier and his brother Leo Frazier.
After graduating high school, Bernie went on to join the U.S. Marine Corps. Upon his discharge, he worked in the retail sector as a District Sales Manager. Bernie always worked multiple jobs to provide for his family and later became the owner and operator of Anago Cleaning Service.
Bernie was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus; he loved a good book, music, and telling jokes. He was known for long road trips or just a short drive to one of his favorite dining spots. During a good rainstorm, you could always find Bernie on the “front stoop” watching it rain.
Friends and family will be received Monday, July 11th, from 4 to 8 p.m. at RJ Slater IV Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1000 Freeport Rd., New Kensington. 724-335-0100. A Blessing Service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Committal Service with Military Honors at Plum Creek Cemetery.
