Beverly A. (Simpson) Callen, 80, passed away Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Fawn Personal Care Home in Fawn Township, PA where she had been a resident since October 2017. Her family was by her side. Beverly was born in Tarentum, PA on January 25, 1938 to the late Richard and Catherine (Evans) Simpson. She was a graduate of Tarentum High School, Class of 1956. Beverly married Raymond L. Callen on March 2, 1957. Raymond preceded her in death on March 31, 2010. Beverly was employed by The Valley News Dispatch (USA Today) from 1982 to 1999. She is survived by her son Raymond L. (Mary) Callen Jr. of Sarver and her daughters Sharon A. McKay of West Deer Twp. and Dianna L. Callen of Fawn Twp., her grandchildren, Jon Curtis Simon (Davina) of Natrona Heights, Edward W. (Lorie) Love of Fawn Twp. and Debie (Mike) Portner of Lonsdale, MN and 8 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Nancy L. Turner of Creighton and several nieces and nephews. Beverly was proceeded in death by her son-in-law Ralph (Butch) McKay, her brothers Louis, George, Richard and James Simpson, and her sisters Cecila Kamer, Elizabeth Parry, Edna Simpson and Lillian Kish.
