Bonnie Simpson, born Sept 1946 went "home " Thursday afternoon after an extended stay at Sunnyview Nursing Home in Butler PA.
Graduated from Knoch High School 1964. She was the mother of Greg (Susan) Simpson, Erin Simpson, grandmother of Amanda Edgington, Niki (Logan) Collins, Kaila Nick. Great grandmother to Lacy Edgington, Mason Edgington, Eli Collins and another expected in June. Survived by Brothers Laird (Harriet) Parke of Oakmont, Pa, Dennis (Carlynn) Parke of Hamilton, Montana and Kirk (Kathy) Parke of Campellsburg, Ind. Bonnie cooked most of her adult life. In fact if you ate out regularly in the Saxonburg / Sarver areas in the mid 80s thru early 2000s, chances are you ate her cooking. She was a cook at most every restaurant / social club in the area .
Was preceded in death by her father, David Parke and mother, Elmo (Wigton) Parke
And in lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to the Alzheimer's Association or the International Rett Syndrome Foundation in her memory
A private Memorial Service will be held in January for immediate family and close friends.
