Carmen D. Bellavia, 89 of Lower Burrell, passed away surrounded by the love of his family Friday May 29, 2026. Carmen will always be remembered for his deep devotion to those he loved, his strong values, and the many traditions and memories he created throughout his life.
Born to the late Antonio and Jenny (Pagano) Bellavia, Carmen was a proud graduate of Arnold High School, Class of 1954, and later earned his degree in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh in 1962. He carried a strong work ethic throughout his life and taught his children the importance of hard work, wise investing, and the strength of family bonds.
Carmen was the beloved husband of 30 years to Maureen (Errico) Bellavia. Loving father of Annette (Ron) Marney, Susan (Jim) Staresinic, and Carmen R. Bellavia. Proud grandfather of Danielle (Shawn) Rua, Tyler Gold, Evan (Christina) Staresinic, Max Staresinic, and Savanna Howe. Cherished great grandfather of Aiden Rua and Julia Rua.
He is also survived by his brothers, James (Monica) Bellavia and Mario (Patricia) Bellavia; father in law Anthony (Patricia) Errico; brothers in law Anthony Errico Jr. and Matthew (Chris) Errico; sisters in law Lynn (Ben Conway) Errico and Rose (Anthony) Bellavia; along with many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. He also leaves behind his beloved Maltese companion, DJ, who was truly his special buddy.
In addition to his parents, Carmen was preceded in death by his stepson, Dusty James Howe; and his sisters, Ann (Chuck) Miller and Vera (Chuck) Bosco.
Carmen loved nothing more than being surrounded by family and friends. Before downsizing, he and Maureen enjoyed hosting countless backyard BBQs and pool parties where everyone was always welcome. One of his most treasured traditions was the annual Easter egg hunt. Carmen loved filling eggs with money and watching the grandchildren race to gather them and excitedly count their winnings. To his great grandchildren, he seemed like the richest man in the world.
Proud of his full Italian heritage, Carmen shared his love of family traditions, delicious Italian food, and celebrating life with those closest to him. He enjoyed sipping fine scotch, taking his wife dancing, and traveling annually with Maureen to Myrtle Beach, creating memories they cherished together.
Though he will be deeply missed, Carmen's love, wisdom, traditions, and virtues will continue to live on through the family he adored so much.
