Cecelia Carson

Cecelia M. Carson, 88, of New Kensington, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2022. Cecelia was born in Logans Ferry, PA, on April 7, 1934, to the late Joseph and Gizella (Hricisakova) Lesho.

Beloved wife of the late William H. Carson, loving mother of Kimberly (Timothy A.) Treese and Kristine (Steven) Powers; grandmother of Mitchell (Jamie) Powers, Andrew Powers, and Jennifer Treese; great-grandmother of Corbin Powers. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, John, Joseph, and Mary Ann.

Cecelia was past president of the New Kensington and Lower Burrell Rotary and served as Assistant Governor of Rotary International District 7300. For 62 years, Cecelia worked as secretary and manager for the New Kensington Federal Credit Union. She was very active in her church and an avid golfer and traveler.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday from 12 to 1 at St. Margaret Mary Church, 3055 Leechburg Rd., Lower Burrell, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial Interment will follow at Saint Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made directly to the church in Cecelia’s name.
