Charles Bash

Charles William Bash Jr., 70, of New Kensington, passed away on February 17, 2025 He was born on July 26, 1954.

He was member of Arnold United Methodist Church. Chuck was the son of the late Charles W. and Margaret (Hartman) Bash. Chuck was also preceded in death by his nephew, Jody Edgar; his brother, Kenny Bash; his sisters, Helena Bash and Shirley Edgar; and his mother- and father-in-law, William and Doris Covey.
Chuck is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Charla “Char” (Covey) Bash, with whom he shared nearly 50 years of love and companionship. Their journey began in childhood and was love at first sight from the start. He is also survived by his beloved daughter, Amber O’Sullivan, her husband, Thomas “TJ,” and his grandson, Owen, who was the light of his life and his most cherished joy. Loving brother of Barbara Zimmermen and Rose Weidenhoff.

A passionate NASCAR and football fan, Chuck could often be found watching both at the same time on two TVs. He loved spending time in his garden on sunny days, planting flowers and enjoying the beauty of nature. Above all, Chuck’s greatest joy was his family.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 5-8 PM at RJ Slater IV Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1000 Freeport Road, New Kensington. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 11 AM. Condolences may be shared at www.rjslater.com.
