Christopher Ashbaugh, 53, of New Kensington, passed away tragically on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. Born on November 20, 1972, in New Kensington, he was the beloved son of the late Harry Sr. and Maryann Ashbaugh.
Chris was the devoted husband of 31 years to his loving wife, Jodi. He was a proud and loving father to Joshua (Shawna) Ashbaugh, Emilie (Caleb) Morrison, and Matthew (Kaylee) Ashbaugh. He was also a doting grandfather to Brooklyn, Tanner, Luka, and Asher, who brought him endless joy. Chris is also survived by his brother, Harry (Sherry) Ashbaugh Jr.; his sister, Michele (John) Robinson; and his cherished niece and nephew, Samantha and Brandon.
Chris had a passion for life and enjoyed many hobbies and interests. Whether he was spending time outdoors, working on cars, playing poker, or cheering on all the Pittsburgh sports teams as a devoted "couch coach," he embraced every moment. He was rarely seen without a Sheetz coffee in hand in the morning or a Pepsi nearby later in the day. Above all else, Chris treasured his family. He was always his children's biggest supporter growing up, and in recent years found his greatest happiness in adoring and spoiling his grandchildren.
