Daniel Gift

Daniel Lee Gift, born March 3, 1951 the first child of Stella Lingelbach and Harry Gift passed into eternity January 13, 2023. He was preceded in death by his mother, father and eldest sister Patricia Lace. He is survived by his daughter Danetta (Christopher) Corrado, his girlfriend of 25 years Virginia Chupek, two sisters Diane (Gary) Enciso and Betty Jane (Clifford) Weiss, plus 3 adult nieces and 1 nephew and their families.

Known far and wide as D.Gift, he was an avid collector …of things, of animals, of people. He never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone. From coast to coast and as far as Aruba, he lived a life which would rival any Hollywood adventure. His stories were often fantastic and questionable and were woven with a reality only D. Gift could live. Exploring the west coast, multiple cherry bomb incidents, unplanned jam sessions with the famous, spontaneous road trips, and set lists from the Rolling Stones were all highlights of his life. D. Gift followed Nascar and the Steelers. He had a love for all motor vehicles and was always open for a rack of pool but his greatest accomplishment and the one he was most proud of was being dad to Danetta.

A public memorial service and celebration of life will be held at North Main Street Church of God, Butler, PA on Saturday January 28, 2023, at 11 am. A private internment was held at St Mary’s in Lower Burrell.
