Daniel H. Gilbert, 81, of New Kensington, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021. He was born October 9, 1939, in New Kensington, son of the late Adelbert T. and Virginia (McMillen) Gilbert. Along with his parents, he was proceeded in death by his daughter Connie Ann Gilbert. Dan is survived by his loving daughter Danielle Gilbert, grandchildren Daniel C. Gilbert, Kelcie Gilbert, and Kiana Richards; his brother Robert A. Gilbert; three nieces and three great-nieces.
He started his medical training through his service with the US Army. Dan spent his life caring for others as a Physician Assistant and Assistant Hospital Administrator. He retired from the Federal Bureau of Prisons in Springfield, Mo.
Nothing was more important to Dan than his family, friends, and beloved labrador retrievers. He enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors, Nascar, watching the Steelers win, and a good whiskey.
