David E. Lecocq, 74, of Lower Burrell, Pa, passed away on January 4, 2022. He was born on July 29, 1947, in New Kensington, Pa, to the late Emil and Voila (Oshnock) Lecocq.
Beloved husband of Diana (Califiore) Lecocq for 47 years; loving father of Christian (Laurie) Lecocq and Kelly Lecocq. Grandfather of Cody Reynolds, Mikayla, and Collin Lecocq; dear brother of Richard J. (Jean) Lecocq and the late Donald F. (Dorothy), Betty L. (Elmer) Large, and Mary Anne (Robert) Faith. Survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and great-nieces and nephews.
David retired from PPG glass research after 41 years of service. His name is proudly etched in history, holding several patents related to PPG's coated glass. David belonged to the Outdoor Life Lodge and was a lifetime member of the Seventh Street Sportsmen's Club. He enjoyed gardening, working on his model railroad trains, woodworking, and a challenging word puzzle.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022, from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at RJ Slater IV Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1000 Freeport Rd., New Kensington, Pa. 15068. Funeral services will be the following day, Friday at 1 pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park.
