Deborah S Hornock

Deborah S. Hornock, 68, of Vandergrift, passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2026. She was born on June 11, 1958, in Greensburg, PA, a daughter of the late Helen and Robert Miller.

Deborah was the loving mother of Jessica (Michael) Schafer and beloved sister of Susan (Scott) Lewis.

In addition to her parents, Deborah was preceded in death by her son, Joshua S. Hornock.

Deborah began her working career as a machine apprentice at Edgewater Steel before later working in the food service industry. In her free time, she enjoyed woodworking, sewing, ceramics, and puzzles, as well as spending time at her camp in Sigel, PA. Above all, Deborah treasured the time she spent with her daughter and son-in-law, along with her beloved fur grandchild, Amber.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at RJ Slater IV Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1000 Freeport Road, New Kensington, PA 15068.
