Debra Lee Bush, 69, beloved wife, best mother and grandmother, passed away June 3, 2026 in Lower Burrell, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Bush was born October 20, 1956 in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania to Thomas (Tommos) E. Potter and Evelyn (Jordan) Potter. After living briefly in Virginia, she returned to Lower Burrell in 1964, where she happily lived and worked. Her career took her from her first job at White Tower, to several local retail establishments, especially Thrift Drug-a favorite position in Hillcrest Plaza, and finally to working in and retiring after many years from food service at Burrell School District, where she loved to spend her time sharing smiles with students in the school cafeteria. Additionally, her devotion to her children and grandchildren allowed her to volunteer for Girl Scouts, as a Burrell band parent, and as a supporter of their sports events.
As an avid gardener, Debbie's flowers were as bright as her smile, always offering a friendly welcome to all who visited her home. She enjoyed singing, and was known to sing along to her favorite, Elvis Pressley. Debbie thrived in the company of her family, and most precious to her was spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and dogs.
Debra was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas (Tommos) E. Potter and Evelyn Jordan Potter, her brother Thomas (Tommos) E. Potter Jr., her sister Jo Anne Potter, and her daughter, Crystal Lyn Clark.
She is survived by her loving husband, Howard Kennedy Bush, Jr; her daughters BillieJo (Les) Wainwright, and Tynia Lee Minnick; her grandchildren, Donavan and Demetrius Green; Joshua and Dillon Wainwright; Morgan, Evan, Kennzie, Evelyn Girard, and Mariel Minnick. As well, she is survived by her two best dogs in the world, Grundel and Jasper.
