Dian J. Solomon, 75, of New Kensington, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025. Born on June 4, 1949, in New Ken to the late Joseph & Zetta (Cowen) Solomon,
She was the beloved mother of Brandon J Burke, sister of Matthew (Stacey) Solomon, and the late Gail (survived by Robert) Fancher and Nicholas Solomon. She was the niece of Carrie (the late Raymond) Cowen and Marcia (Dale) Geyer, Alice (Ralph) Rizzo and Keith Cowen and aunt to Mandy (Eric), Shyler, Kyler, Skyler, Cire, and Terrail, with many other cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Dian found inspiration in Proverbs 3:15: “She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.”
Dian worked as a medical assistant and home health aide for many years. An avid reader, baker, cook, bingo player, and crafter, she especially enjoyed card-making and crochet. She was known for her wonderful teaching, loving friendships, and exemplary motherhood.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday from 5–8 p.m. at Rj Slater IV Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1000 Freeport Rd, New Kensington. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home, followed by interment at Greenwood Memorial Park.
