Diane Smittle, 66, of Lower Burrell, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Forbes Hospital. Born on May 29, 1958, in New Kensington, she was the cherished daughter of Nancy McFall and the late Robert McFall.
Diane was a dedicated secretary for the Westmoreland County District Court in New Kensington, where her professionalism and kindness left a lasting impression. A passionate Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Diane found joy in camping adventures with family and friends, exploring new destinations, reading captivating stories, and caring for her beloved pet turtles.
She is survived by her mother, Nancy McFall; her brother, Robert McFall (Rebecca); her stepson, John Smittle Jr. (Mary Jane); her longtime companion, Sam Betts; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, step-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren. In addition to her father, Diane was preceded in death by her husband, John Smittle Sr., and her brother, John McFall.
