Donald R. Micholas, 83, of Lower Burrell, passed away Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022. He was born Nov. 17, 1938, in Natrona, to the late John and Margaret Smith Micholas. He was the husband of Patricia (Henderson) for 50 loving years; father of Molly (Kevin) Flanagan and Matthew (Jennifer) Micholas; beloved grandfather of Reagan, Jackson and Eva; and brother of Bert (Carol) Micholas. In addition to his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his siblings, Edward, John "Buzz," Eugene, Richard and James Micholas and Margaret "Sis" Pastoria. Donald served in the Army from 1961-1963 as a medic and was employed by Alcoa Technical Center as a senior technologist before retiring in 1995 after 45 years of service. Prior to his stroke in 1993, Don was an active member of Grace Community Presbyterian Church, where he served on session as an elder and a member of the Property Committee. For fun, Donald enjoyed home improvement projects and working in his yard.
