Earl Winkle, 82, of Vandergrift, formerly of the Pitcairn area, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2021. He was born Aug. 13, 1939, in Swissvale, to the late James and Eleanor (Chambers) Winkle. In addition to his parents, Earl was preceded in death by his daughters, Melissa Bala and Eleanor Dhorali; "like a son," Billy Tatters; grandchildren, John Smail IV, Timothy Emeigh Jr., and Kayla Emeigh; brother, John Winkle. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Christina; his children, Vicki (Doug) Morris, Tonnia (Rich) Chiocca, Donna (Nathan) Winkle and Stephen and special son, Timothy Emeigh Sr.; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and others. He was the brother of James (sherry) Winkle, of Greenville, and Vivian Hinerman, of Cumberland, Md. Earl worked at Respironics, Murrysville, before retiring in 2005. He loved his outdoor activities, hunting, fishing and gardening. On Sundays, he always loved to watch the Steelers play with his family by his side. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021, at Living Water Church, 629 Woodward Ave., Kittanning, PA 16201, with a lunch to follow.
