Edward Corbin

Edward D. Corbin Jr. 67, of Lower Burrell, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 19, 2017, at UPMC East Hospital in Monroeville. Ed is survived by his mother Carmella J. Corbin and his brothers John of Lower Burrell, Robert of Monroeville and sisters Diane (Ronald) Cava and Elaine Corbin of Monroeville. He is preceded in death by his father Edward E. Corbin and sister Jeannette Corbin.  Ed leaves behind nieces and several great nieces and a nephew whom all loved him dearly. Ed was a lifelong resident of New Kensington-Lower Burrell area.  He was a member of Mt. St. Peter Roman Catholic Church Holy Name Society, New Kensington.  Ed worked at Citizens General Hospital in New Kensington and Giant Eagle before he retired in 2015.  He enjoyed music, going to concerts, fine arts, reading and being with friends and family.  Ed was also a Steeler and Penguins fan.  He will be remembered for his warm kindness towards others. Friends and family will be received from 2-4pm & 6-8pm Sunday at RJ Slater IV Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1000 Freeport Rd New Kensington (724-335-0100). Prayers of transfer will take place at 9:30am Monday at the funeral home followed by a funeral mass at 10am at Mt. St. Peter Roman Catholic Church.  Burial service will follow at Union Cemetery, Arnold.  Memorial contributions may be made in Edward’s memory to Mt.
