Fred Waltz

Fred Waltz, Jr., 73, of Plum, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, with his family by his side.  Beloved husband of Sandy (Harms) Waltz for 53 years and loving father of Fred (Angela) Waltz, Sandy (Mike) Muldowney, Shelley (Darren) Mull, and Heather (Michael) Lorenz.  Adoring grandfather of Kendra (Davis Clever), Emma, Kayla, Jack, & Savannah; great-grandfather of Kyler; companion to many "four-legged friends; and loving brother of Helen (John) Olenik, Kathryn (Lou) Maxin and brother-in-law Ed Bogdan.  Fred will also be missed by many in-laws, nieces, and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Sr. and Helen (Taylor) Waltz, and his sister, Sara Mae Bogdan.  Fred was retired from McKees Rocks Forgings.  The family would like to give a special thanks to AseraCare, Walden’s View, & Independence Court for their loving care over the past few months.  Family and friends welcome Friday, 12-3 pm and 6-9 pm at RJ Slater IV Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1000 Freeport Rd., New Kensington, PA 15068  (724-335-0100).  There will be a morning visitation on Saturday from 9 -10 am at Our Lady Of Joy Parish, 2000 O'Block Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15239 followed by burial mass at 10 am.  Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park Cemetery, Lower Burrell.  Online condolences can be made at www.rjslater.com.
