Gary J. Delehanty, 36, of New Kensington, passed away peacefully at home on April 1, 2025, with his family by his side.
Born July 18, 1988, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of James Delehanty and the late Theresa Delehanty.
Gary was the beloved husband of Jackie (Orris) Delehanty, with whom he shared 10 years of love, laughter, and partnership. He was a devoted and proud father to their son, Declan, who was the light of his life. He is also survived by his sister, Emily (Scott) Dittler, and his cherished niece, Paisley; brother-in-law, Kevin Orris; nephews, Levi and Parker; and his loving in-laws, Ken and Diane Orris.
A lifelong Pittsburgh Penguins fan, Gary had a passion for hockey and golf—whether he was playing, coaching, or cheering from the sidelines. He was known to enjoy placing a bet on the ponies now and then, but his greatest joy came from traveling with Jackie, exploring new places and making lasting memories together.
Family and friends are welcome Friday from 2 to 8 PM at RJ Slater IV Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1000 Freeport Road, New Kensington, PA 15068. 724-335-0100. Family will have a Private Funeral Service on Saturday.
