George Michael

George Michael, 88, of Jefferson Hills, formerly of New Kensington, died Sunday, April 30, 2017. He was a son of the late Hanna and Elmaza (Sabbagh) Michael; beloved husband of the late Wilma S. Michael for 59 loving years; loving father of  David  (Marie) Michael, of Las Vegas, Nev., Cynthia (Kenneth) Jones, of Burgettstown, Pa., Daniel (Martha) Michael, of Lansdowne, Va., and Ernest Michael, of Las Vegas, Nev.; brother of Ernest (Ruth) Michael and the late Mike (Bettye) Michael; and grandfather of Jill, Rachel, Dominic and Samuel Michael. He is also survived by nieces and nephews. George retired after 47 years at the Baldwin School District, was past master of Pleasant Hills Lodge 509, where he was a 50-plus-year member, and was an avid bowler all his life and also enjoyed golfing. He was a loving husband and father who enjoyed time with his family and friends. George's family will receive friends from 10 a.m. Thursday until services at 1 p.m. at RJ SLATER IV FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE, 1000 Freeport Road, New Kensington (724-335-0100).
