George A. Spiering Jr., 83, passed away at home on June 28,2025. George was born on
September 3, 1941, to the late George A. Spiering Sr. and Betty Bell and was a resident of Lower Burrell all his life.
George is survived by his wife of 65 years, Judith Kozusko, children George A. Spiering III (Kimberly Covey),Guy A. Spiering (Sandra Bragiel) and Kelly A. Singleton (Larry Singleton),
grandchildren George Spiering IV, Jacob Spiering, Glenn Spiering, Katherine Spiering, Maria
(Ryan)Adamaszek, and Raymond Montemurro, and great grandchildren George Spiering V, Selene Spiering, Taylor Adamaszek and Cameron Adamaszek.
He is also survived by brothers and sisters Carolyn (Victor) Suppa, Gregory (Cheryl) Spiering,
Geoffrey (Phyllis) Spiering and Rebecca (Robert Solee.
George was employed at Alcoa Research Labs in New Kensington and the Alcoa Technical Center in Upper Burrell for 30 years, primarily as a welder.
He was an invaluable helper and repairman at his father-in-law’s mower business, Kozusko Mower Service. He was also a volunteer at Lower Burrell Flyers Field, a member of the Vandergrift Sportsman’s Club, the NRA, and the Lower Burrell Auxiliary Police. George was a parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Church in Lower Burrell.
He enjoyed many hours in his garage and wood shop, hunting, gardening and spending family time at their camp in Clarion, PA.
George was also preceded in death by sister Penny Beacom and grandson Gabriel Spiering.

A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Margaret Mary Church in Lower Burrell on July 11th 2025 at 1 pm. Please meet at Church
