Gladys Eva Pishko, 87, of Penn Township, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 30, 2024. Born on June 13, 1937, in Harrison City, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Anna (Deibler) Stout.
Before retiring, Gladys worked at Amacor Glass, where she was a dedicated and valued employee. She was a longtime member of the First United Church of Christ in Harrison City, where her faith was an integral part of her life.
Gladys was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Harry Pishko; her daughter-in-law, Rita Pishko; and eight siblings: Alvie, Harry, and Lloyd Stout, Anna Stough, Alice Hertzog, Ella Carnes, Ida Smail, and Dorothy Martin.
She is survived by her loving children: Barry Pishko of Spokane, WA; Gary Pishko (Arlene) of North Huntingdon, PA; Harry Pishko (Nadine) of Armstrong County, PA; and Faith Blair (Joe) of Florida. Gladys was a proud grandmother to five grandchildren: Jeremy, Brandon, Jessica, Cody, and Danielle; and a cherished great-grandmother to three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Hazel Rhea, and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Gladys will always be remembered for her legendary culinary talents, bringing family and friends together with her delicious home-cooked meals. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, and her family cherishes the countless memories made around her table.
Gladys deeply loved her family, and her kind and generous spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace, reunited with Pappy, until we meet again.
