Glenn Stump

Glenn H. “Red” Stump, 85, of Lower Burrell, PA, passed away on March 14, 2022. He was born in New Kensington on March 8, 1937, to the late Whit and Ida (Baker) Stump. He is the beloved husband of the late Louise P. (Helmanic), loving father of Daniel Stump, Merle (Linda Umbaugh) Stump, Wayne Stump, Walter (Marsha Thomas) Stump, Ric (Rhonda Wolfe) Stump, and Franklin Stump, Suzanne Venanzio, Priscilla (Jeff) Gates, and Wendy Wojtczak. Red was blessed with 14 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Dear brother of Ruth (Albert) Covey and the late Lloyd, Frank, and James Stump.

Red was a proud member of all the local New Kensington and Lower Burrell associations, including the American Legion, VFW, Polish Falcons, Eagles, and Moose. He enjoyed fishing and rooting for his Pittsburgh sports teams in his free time.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at RJ Slater IV Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1000 Freeport Rd., New Kensington. American Legion Post 868 will hold a service at 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township. www.rjslater.com
