Gloria Fischetti Donatelli Angiulo
April 6, 1930-October 19, 2022
Today we lost the matriarch of our family. The youngest daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Cefola) Fischetti. Wife of the late Anthony G Donatelli & the late Anthony Angiulo. Loving and beautiful mom to Annette Smith, Anthony (Michele),
Richard (Cindy) and Dana (Giacomo) Veneziano. Nanna to Gloria Jean (Matthew) Fryer, Alexandria & Nicoletta Veneziano and the late Patrick McKallip. Great Nanna to Hailey & Noah Fryer and her fur grand babies Lola, Luigi & Ellie, all of whom she loved dearly! Sister to the late Agnes (Jimmy) Berardone, the late Carrie (Vince) Constantino and Ralph Fischetti. Many nieces, nephews, family, and friends as well.
She worked at Gimbles Department store for many years over the Christmas holiday as Santa’s helper. She loved Christmas. She would go all out with her beautiful decorations and festive lights decorating her home. She ran the lunch program in the 70s and 80s at Greenfield Elementary School. She loved being with the kids. If there were leftover lunches, she would secretly send something home with the students she felt needed it rather than toss it in the garbage.
Mom loved her family whole heartedly. She was an amazing cook and fantastic baker. She could put a six-course meal together for twenty people at the drop of a dime & she’d enjoy every minute of it. Sunday dinners and holidays were above and beyond when it came to cooking! Her meatballs & sauce were the best. Her stuffed artichokes and turkey stuffing was above all amazing! Nobody ever left her home hungry! She was an avid gardener too. When we were growing up in the city, she had the most beautiful flower garden in the neighborhood! Her tomatoes were the size of softballs! Mom was a beautiful, loving and giving woman. She loved children. She fostered two little girls along with raising her own four children. She was so giving, she always gave you something when you left her home…be it food, a gift, money, or the shirt off her back. She was grateful and appreciative of her company. Up until her last days, she would say, “Get my purse, I want to give the kids some money”. Gloria, Mom, Mummy, Nanna….whatever name she was to you, she will be deeply missed.
