Helen Pompe

Helen L. Pompe, 94, of West Deer, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017. Helen was born March 25, 1923, in Russellton to the late Jesse and Stella (Jabzanka) Locke. She was the beloved wife of the late Richard Gilbert; loving mother of Gregg, Mark and the late Rex Pompe; and sister of Frances Pompe, Annamarie Killian and Henry Lock. Helen has six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. She worked for Deer Lakes School District for more than 25 years. A memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, in St. Victor Parish, West Deer Township.
