Irene Galecki

Irene A Galecki, 100, of New Kensington, passed away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018.  Beloved wife of the late Stanley Galecki.  Loving mother of Kathleen (and the late John) Brestensky.  Grandmother of Veronica (and the late David) Brestensky-Kazmierczak.  Sister to the late Stella, Chester (Mary Jane), & Carl (Sophia) Levandoski.  She is survived by 3 nieces. In her free time Irene enjoyed yard work, word search puzzles, and a good debate on politics. Most importantly, she would pray the rosary for anyone in need.  There will be no public visitation. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, 11am at St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, New Kensington, with the Rev. John S. Szczesny and the Rev. Canice McMullen, OSB as co-celebrants, followed by interment in St. Mary Cemetery, Lower Burrell.  Funeral arrangements entrusted to RJ Slater IV Funeral Home & Cremation Service, New Kensington (724-335-0100).  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Irene’s name to St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, 857 Kenneth Ave., New Kensington, PA 15068.  www.rjslater.com
