Regina “Irene” Infanta 97, of Lower Burrell, PA died Thursday, September 5, 2024. She was born on July 18, 1927 in Yatesboro, PA, daughter of Ignazio Mattei and Maria Azzolini Mattei.
In her final days, she was surrounded in her home by her loving family and the AHN Hospice staff. She was a dedicated mother and housewife whose greatest joy in life was her family and friends. She was a member of Mount Saint Peter Roman Catholic Church, New Kensington.
Her hobbies included cooking, baking, reading, and traveling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years George “Tackle” Infanta, her brothers, Levio and Andrew Mattei, her sister Louise Hardy, and her son-in law George Gresock. She is survived by her son France (Linda) Infanta, and her daughters Mary Gresock, and Karen (David) Less; granddaughters Shannon (Michael) Krahe and Erin (fiancé Gabe Bazzano) Gresock, great grandson Gavin (Dawn Rhea) Bowser, and great granddaughter Braelie Krahe.
A private family memorial will be held to honor her memory.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the RJ Slater IV Funeral Home & Cremation Services in New Kensington, PA.
