James Charles Rinchiuso, 92, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on April 20 at the Southwestern Veterans Center in Pittsburgh, PA.
He is preceded in death by his wife Louise and cherished son William. James was born in Chicago, Illinois, on May 1, 1931, to Charles and Lucille Rinchiuso, but he called New Kensington home for most of his life.
A proud veteran, James served in the USMC during the Korean conflict and found solace in playing the trumpet as part of the Marine Corps band. Throughout his career, he excelled as a regional manager for Combined Insurance Company. However, it was his passion for jazz music that truly defined him; his talent as a musician was unparalleled.
Outside of work, James found joy in the simple pleasures of life. Whether it was a round of golf, a leisurely shopping trip, or spending quality time with his children and grandchildren, he embraced every moment with warmth and laughter. James's quick-witted sense of humor was legendary among those who knew him, and it brought light to countless lives.
James leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, survived by his son Michael (Kathy) Rinchiuso, daughters Gina (James) Datres and Suzanne (Michael) Komaniak, and son James (Dalva) Rinchiuso. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Tommy, Cristina, Nina, Izzy, and Michael.
There will be no public services. In lieu of cards or flowers, his children kindly request that you spread the gift of humor in his honor, carrying on his legacy of joy and laughter.
Arrangements are entrusted to RJ Slater IV Funeral Home & Cremation Service, located at 1000 Freeport Rd., New Kensington. For more information, please contact 724-335-0100 or visit www.rjslater.com.
