Joni Sue Coccari, 67, of New Kensington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on August 8, 1958, in Monroeville, she was the daughter of Lucille (the late Billy Mailki) Brewer and the late John Schmitt.
Joni was the devoted wife of Robert Coccari; loving mother of Louis Anthony Drnjevich Jr. and Lindsey Anne Drnjevich; and cherished stepmother of Alison Lynn Longnecker and Lauren Elizabeth Booher.
She was the proud grandmother of Anteique Wood-Hairston, Teique Wood Jr., and Teigan Wood, and step-grandmother to Sarah and Liam Booher, and Amelia, Natalie, and Maggie Longnecker.
Joni is also survived by her siblings Mickey (the late Mike) Cendrowski and John E. Schmitt Jr., and was preceded in death by her sister Lori Lynn Schmitt. Also surviving are her brother in-law Kevin (Cindy) Coccari and sister in-law Diane Spadafore
She will be deeply missed by her lifelong friends and her beloved "snowbird" family in New Port Richey, Florida.
Joni was a proud member of the Eagles Auxiliary #533. She loved to laugh and dance, spend time at the beach, and enjoyed knitting, sewing, and kayaking. Her heart was always happiest by the ocean, which she wished to be her final resting place.
