Joseph Leroy Holmes, 82, of Verona, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 31, 2017. Joseph was born on August 14, 1935 in Wilkinsburg, PA to the late Charles and Laura (Amsler) Holmes. Beloved husband of the late Hazel (Mattern) Holmes; loving father of Joseph Sr., Marlene, Sandy, Karen, Charles, Martha and David; grandfather of Robert, Sara, Joseph Jr., T.J., Jennifer, Loretta, Karen, Rebecca, Charles, Kelly, Victoria, Jesse, Kayla, Cheran, and David; brother of Helen, Laura, and Paul. Joseph also has 25 great-grandchildren, numerous nephews & nieces, and many friends. Per Joseph’s wishes services will be private.
