June R Colella

June Rose (White) Colella 1929-2026

Age 96, a resident of Lower Burrell, PA, peacefully entered into heaven, on February 12, 2026.

Born in Wilkinsburg, PA on June 3, 1929, only daughter to her late father, Arnold White and late mother Helen (Kruger) White

Beloved wife of her late husband, Frank T. Colella, 1925-1970. She said he was the love of her life, even over 50 years after his death.

Sister of two brothers, the late Richard White and late Raymond White.

Next to God, above all, June cherished her family and is survived by 6 children: Frank, Thomas, Michael, Gary, Gregory and Sandra, 8 grandchildren: TJ, Caroline, Nicole, Michael, Cody, Leann, Amy, and Emily; 9 Great-grandchildren with another arriving in June; and many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.

June had a strong faith in God, and after a long well lived life, she was eager to go home and see all of her loved ones who had gone before her. Before she fell asleep for the last time, her granddaughter, Nicole held her hand, and told her it was okay to fall asleep and wake up in heaven. Greg, her son, stayed with her through the night, and discovered she passed on peacefully in her own bed, as she had wanted.

She lived a life defined by love, dedication and devotion to her family. She grew up spending her summers in Bozman, MD, where her parents owned a home on the water near her favorite place, Chesapeake Bay. She often recounted memories about fishing and crabbing. She had many jobs throughout her lifetime, including a cook, a professional housekeeper and a nanny. She was known for her kind and caring nature towards others, strong work ethics, and generosity. She enjoyed spending time with her family more than anything, and was a fan of all of her grandchildren. She loved traveling and was a wonderful cook. In her later years, she remained sharp as a tack and enjoyed watching "Jeopardy" and sharing comments afterwards with her son, Michael.

An intimate luncheon for close friends and family will be held in honor of June on March 15, 2026 at Villa Ballanca, 2740 Leechburg RD, Lower Burrell, PA 15068 from 2:00 - 4:00 PM. https://villaballanca.com/ This restaurant was a favorite of June. She loved the authentic Italian owners, the ambiance and of course the food!
