Karl Strittmatter

Karl Strittmatter, of New Kensington, Pennsylvania, peacefully departed from this world on September 28, 2023. He was born in Indiana, PA, and his journey brought him to New Kensington in 1954.

Karl retired from the former Citizens General Hospital after a career in the radiology department.
A person of deep faith, Karl was formerly an active member of Mount Saint Peter Church in New Kensington, PA.

Karl was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Mary Pauline Muller Strittmatter, as well as his sister, Sr. Rachel Strittmatter, CSJ, and brother Richard.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy Greco Strittmatter, daughter and son-in-law Mary Kay and Dr. Joseph Thimons, grandchildren Nick, Luke (Carleigh), and Sam (Taylor), and great-grandson Nathan.

In accordance with Karl’s wishes, there will be no public visitation. Instead, friends and well-wishers are invited to join in celebrating his life at the Mass of Christian Burial, which will take place at Mount St. Peter Church on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at 10:00 am. Please gather at the church to honor and remember the life of a remarkable man.

Following the Mass, Karl will find his final resting place at St. Mary's Cemetery, where he will continue to watch over his loved ones from a place of eternal peace.
