Katherine Dorovenis

Katherine Ann Dorovenis, age 74, of New Kensington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 2, 2023, at her home, surrounded by her beloved family. She was born on January 20, 1949, to the late George and Angeline Rodites.

Katherine was a devoted wife of 53 years to her loving husband, Peter Dorovenis. She was a caring and nurturing mother to Angela Dorovenis, Stacey (Michael) Dorovenis-Romac, and Demetrios Dorovenis. She cherished her role as a grandmother to Katie (Matthew) Luciani, Stephanie Pantelas, and Adrianna Dorovenis. Her great-grandchildren, Angelina, Luka, and Roman Luciani, were the apple of her eye. Katherine was also a source of love and support to many cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Katherine was preceded in death by her siblings, Tasso Rodites and Nick Rodites (Surviving Wife Marcy).

Graduate of Ken high class of 1967 Katherine's life was marked by her passions, including her love for playing bingo, spending quality time with her family, and being an active and devoted member of her church.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Rj Slater IV Funeral
Home and Cremation Services, located at 1000 Freeport Rd, New Kensington. Further remembrance and celebration of Katherine's life will continue on the following day from 9 AM until the time of the service at 10 AM at Dormition of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Church, 12 Washington Avenue, Oakmont, PA 15139, followed by interment at Union Cemetery in Arnold, PA.
