Larry Carlisle

Larry D. Carlisle, 60, of New Kensington, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 30, 2025. He was born on August 18, 1965, in Birmingham, Alabama, to the late Willie James Carlisle Sr. and Ella Mae James Carlisle.

Beloved husband of Christine (McKruit) Carlisle for 31 wonderful years. Loving father of Katherine (Nicholas) Cordoba, Benjimin, Janaya, and Alayna Carlisle. Proud grandfather of Ares and Titan Cordoba.

Dear brother of Harold (Roxanne) Carlisle Sr., Willie Carlisle Jr., Cheryl (Reginald) Williams Sr., Yolanda Renee Carlisle, Joyce Carlisle, LaSean (David) Howze, and Beverly Carlisle; and the late Samuel (Yolanda) James Sr., Benny Carlisle, and Terrance Carlisle. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Larry was raised by his devoted brother-in-law, Reginald Williams Sr., whom he affectionately called "Dad," from the age of 15. He proudly dedicated 35 years of his life to serving his country in the United States Army, Army National Guard, United States Army Reserve, and the Department of Defense.

Larry enjoyed family reunions, spontaneous road trips, bowling, and fishing in his younger years. He had a passion for his many cars and loved spending Saturdays watching college football-always cheering for his beloved Alabama Crimson Tide: "Roll to the Tide!" Alongside his Alabama roots, Larry called new Kensington home and enjoyed connecting with others in the community. No matter where he went he was a familiar face.

Family and friends will be received on Sunday, November 2, 2025, from 1-5 PM at R.J. Slater IV Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1000 Freeport Road, New Kensington, PA (724-335-0100).
