In loving memory of Laura M. (Lawhorn) Morman, fondly known as “Meme”, aged 71, who peacefully transitioned to heaven on October 14th, 2024. Laura was born on July 15, 1953, and resided in Vandergrift, PA. She leaves behind a legacy through several generations including: son and daughter-in-law Clifford and Hope Taylor, daughter Carla Taylor, her beloved grandchildren Joshua, Joshlyn, Jazmine, Andre, Brazel and husband Craig Glatfelter, Daezauna, Tony, Zakiyah, Deon, Sade, Abrahm, Ziporah, Ashton and great grandchildren Benjamin, Mia, Ezra and Margo.
Preceded in death by her beloved parents, Samuel N. and Clemon Lawhorn, as well as three sisters and a brother. Laura’s life was a testament of love, selflessness, compassion and laughter. Laura had an impact on all who encountered her. Laura earned a bachelor’s degree in early childhood development at Geneva College in 2009. She also was received various certificates from Westmoreland County Community College and the University of Pittsburgh. Laura previously worked at Early HeadStart in New Kensington and Westmoreland County Community Action. Most recently, she was a bus driver for children with special needs at W.L. Roenigk.
Laura’s joy was in her relationship with Jesus Christ, her family and the countless individuals she supported. Laura loved to travel, laugh and dance. A celebration of Laura’s life will be held at 1PM on November 16th, 2024, at Parks Township Volunteer Fire Hall . The address is 1119 Dalmation Dr. Vandergrift, PA 15690.
