 Leonard J. Anglin, Jr., 70, of Ellwood City, Franklin Township (Beaver County) passed away on January 16, 2026, in the VA Hospital, Aspinwall. 

He was born February 11, 1955, in Peoria, Illinois to the late Leonard J., Sr. and Theresa (Martin) Anglin.

 Leonard was a disabled Vietnam era Veteran having proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. He was the most amazing single father who raised his 2 daughters on his own, who routinely received cards and gifts on Mother’s Day that read, “Dear Dad, Happy Mother’s Day”! Lenny was also a devoted Pappap that was always in attendance for football games, cheer competitions, Christmas pageants, school open houses, special moments, including births, graduations, and marriages. He never missed any of them. His hobbies included fishing, puzzles, puzzle books, shopping with his granddaughters, naps on the back porch with his pup, and spending every moment he could with his grandchildren. Lenny had 41 years of service at Duquesne University as a locksmith and was well known as “Lenny the Locksmith” and “Pappap” on campus. He was a Union Stewart for Duquesne University for many years. In addition, he played Santa Clause for Breakfast with Santa on Duquesne University campus and Rainbow Girls for many years, bringing joy to many little children, including his own grandchildren. Lenny also volunteered for programs within Duquesne University, along with his daughters, to assist low-income families and the less fortunate with repairs as well as helping with holiday soup kitchens.

 He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his two daughters, Wendy (Paul) Ruckert, Tammy (Eric) Anglin, his grandchildren, John Kurtz, Leena Ruckert, Christopher Lutz, Shawn (Bray) McGinnis, Alie Batykefer, his great grandchildren, Myla McGinnis and Kyler McGinnis. Also his three surviving sisters, Darlene Szewczyk, Terri (Rick) Wagner and Debbie (George) McDine. In addition, he loved his puppies very much that included Lady of 17 years, who passed in 2010, Darcie for 9 years, that passed in 2020 and Sandy of 5 ½ years, who lives with his daughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, mentioned above and his brother Billy Anglin.

 In accordance with Lenny’s wishes, all Services will be held privately at the convenience of his family also per his wish his ashes will be buried at sea by the Us Navy. Cremation services have been entrusted to the RJ SLATER IV FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 1000 Freeport Road, New Kensington, PA 15068. (724-335-0010).
