Lester Kemp
Age 87, of Arnold, PA, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Thursday, December 5, 2024. Born April 10, 1937, in Arlington, Virginia, he was the son of the late Jake and Elizabeth (Irvin) Kemp.
Lester was the beloved husband of Debra for 47 cherished years. He was a devoted father to Laura (Thomas) Reynolds, Meghan (Shawn) Russell, Jeremey (Megan) Kemp, Lester Kemp Jr., Tara (David) Pearson, and son-in-law Nick Soto. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Celeste Kemp. Lester was the treasured brother of Floyd, William, Harvey, and the late Thomas, Mansfield, Lilly, Ethel, Emma, and Mary. He also leaves behind 14 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Lester found great joy in traveling to Georgia with his wife, Debra, to visit family. He dedicated 47 years to PPG Industries, was a proud coach for the Highland Hornets youth football team, and was a die-hard fan of the Oakland Raiders. A man of generosity, Lester gave his time and talents to numerous organizations in the Arnold community, leaving a legacy of kindness and service.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Lester’s life on Saturday, December 7, 2024, from 2 PM until the time of the service at 6 PM at R.J. Slater IV Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1000 Freeport Road, New Kensington. Pastor Kenneth Irvin will officiate.

Lester’s generosity, love of family, and devotion to his community will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
