Lois Seitam

January 12, 1936 — December 12, 2025

Lois (Ebig) Seitam, 89, formerly of the Freeport/Sarver area, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on December 12, 2025.

Lois was born in Freeport on January, 12, 1936, daughter of the late Helen (Boland) and Elmer Ebig. In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her dedicated husband, Frank, of 65 years who passed in 2022; brothers, James and Earl Ebig, great grandson Justin Sweat and most recently, great granddaughter Ella Astor. Lois was a 1953 graduate of Freeport Area High School as well as a graduate of Robert Morris School of Business.

Mom was a woman of faith and a member of Evangel Heights Assembly of God, Sarver, PA. She enjoyed participating in many church activities such as the dramas, choir and various small-group bible studies. God and family were always her life's focus as displayed by her quiet, dedicated prayers for all generations of her family. She was the heart of our family gatherings - creating warm, meaningful holiday celebrations that will live on in our memories. In her free time, she enjoyed walking with neighborhood friends, gardening, reading, card club and annual beach trips with our Dad and the "Myrtle Beach Gang".

Lois is survived by her 3 children: Son, Dan (Sharon) Seitam of Oakmont, daughters Kathy (Gary) Astor of New Kensington and Margie (Barry) Gregory of Freeport; her grandchildren Stephen Nacy, Jeremy (Sara) Astor, Julianne (Matthew) Kline, Megan (Ashton) Saunders, Josh Gregory, Stephen (Kim) Sweat; great grandchildren Ashton, Sebastian and Esmond Saunders, Owen and Anna Kline, Jacob Astor, Emily (Max) Thompson and Erin Sweat. Also, surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

At Lois's request, there will be no public visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 3, 2026, 11:00 AM at Evangel Heights Assembly of God, 120 Beale Rd, Sarver, PA.

Lois's family would like to thank the first-floor staff at Westminster Place, Presbyterian Senior Care, Oakmont as well as her dedicated and loving hospice team Jamie Weaver and Natasha Palmer of Interim Hospice of Pittsburgh.
