Margaret R. Walters, age 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 3rd, 2024, surrounded by her loving family, with her son by her side. She was born on June 20, 1943, in East Liverpool, Ohio, to the late Elwood and Elsie (Reynolds) Davis. Margaret was the beloved wife of Dale L. Walters Sr., with whom she shared 65 years of cherished marriage.
A devoted mother, Margaret leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion to her children: Luke (Laura), James "J.W." (Bonnie), Jack (Beth), Elizabeth, and the late Dale Walters Jr. She was a cherished grandmother to 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Margaret was a shining example of strength and resilience, having bravely battled and overcome cancer. She found joy in simple pleasures, such as tending to her beloved flowers and engaging in lively card and dice games with loved ones. However, Margaret's true passion lay in the creation of her meticulously crafted quilts, each stitch woven with care and love.
Above all, Margaret treasured her time spent with her grandchildren, eagerly anticipating family reunions and relishing in the laughter and love they shared together.
Margaret is survived by her sister, Elsie Mae Duncan, and is preceded in death by her siblings: Helen, Ethel, Ocie, Louise, Mary Bob, Donna, Martha, Elwood, Mina, John, and Alvin.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Margaret's life on Saturday, March 16th at Crooked Creek Presbyterian Church 136 Creek Church Rd Ford City PA 16226 for a Memorial Service at 12 noon followed by a gathering in the social hall.. Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
