Marilyn J. Bush, of Lower Burrell, passed away on Oct. 13, 2017, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Howard Sr. for 60 loving years; the loving mother of Howard Kennedy (Debra) Bush Jr., Rebecca (Gary) Bush-Jensen, Beth Bush-Snyder, Jeffrey (Ann) Bush and Leda (Brian) Bush-Hays. Marilyn graduated Ken High and Indiana State Teachers College. She taught as a home economics teacher at St. Joseph’s Elementary School in New Kensington and also taught as a substitute teacher throughout the Alle-Kiski Valley for 16 years. In her younger years, she enjoyed working at Miller's Shoe Store. She served in both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, and enjoyed watching her children grow. She was a member and past deacon at Puckety Presbyterian Church. Marilyn was very artistic and enjoyed sewing, home decorating and making beautiful greeting cards. Most importantly, she loved being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, spending time with family. Marilyn was the sister of Judith D'Argenzio, of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; the grandmother of BillJo Wainwright, Tynia Girard, Crystal Clark, Lindsey Jensen, Eric Jensen, Jessica Kennedy, Brittney Englehardt, Justin Snyder, Tyler Bush, Christopher Bush, Alexandra Wagner, Sarah Hays, Gillian Hays, Abigail Hays and Sophia Hays; the great-grandmother of Dillon Wainwright, Joshua Wainwright, Morgan Girard, Evan Girard, Kennzie Girard, Evelyn Girard, Mariel Minnick, Demetrius Green, Donavan Green, Dominic Kennedy, Lucas Kennedy, Elyse Englelhardt, Meeya Snyder and Caden Chelednik. Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at RJ SLATER IV FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICE, 1000 Freeport Road, New Kensington (724-335-0100).
