Mary Lou (Peterman) Conti, 85, of Verona (Penn Hills) (Allegheny County) passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025, in Reward Senior Care of Turtle Creek.
She was born December 6, 1939, in Pittsburgh, to the late Clement and Bernadette (Manning) Peterman.
A person with an innate work ethic, she was employed first in the housekeeping department of the former Ramada Inn, Pittsburgh, then became a cafeteria worker for the Penn Hills Elementary School up until her retirement in 2022 at the age of 82.
Mary Lou leaves behind to cherish her memory, her two daughters, Janet L. Quast of Penn Hills, Kathleen M. Conti of Verona, her grandsons, Zachary & Jacob Quast, her great-grandson, River Kust, and her brother John “Jack” Peterman of Penn Hills.
She was preceded in death her parents, mentioned above, husband, Bernard W. Conti in 1975, her granddaughter, Kayla Kane in 2021, her four brothers, Clement, James, Joseph and Lawrence Peterman, and her sister Cora Anson.
Family and friends will be received on Thursday, May 1st from 4 pm until the time of funeral ceremonies at 6 pm in the RJ SLATER IV FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 1000 Freeport Road, New Kensington (724-335-0010). The Reverend Dean Ward will officiate. Private burial will take place following in the Plum Creek Cemetery.
