Mary Nazaruk

Mary K. Nazaruk, 83, of Tarentum, passed away on July 10, 2022, at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot, Pa. She was born in Mars, Pa, on Feb 22, 1939, to the late Henry and Flora (Alderson) Ringer.

Mary is survived by her beloved daughters Robin Nazaruk and Linda (Rich) Sopko; grandchildren Lewis and Kelci Sopko; and sister Mae Baluch.

Along with her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Nazaruk and her siblings Betty Ringer, Dale Ringer, Alice Allenberg, and Ruth Ferguson.



Mary loved genealogy and was known as the family historian. She was a charter member of the Tarentum Genealogy Society and wrote a book on Fawn Township History. She graduated from Tarentum High School in 1957 and was looking forward to the upcoming 65-year reunion. Mary was a member of the Outdoor Life Lodge and Moose.

Friends and family will be received Thursday, July 14th, from 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 p.m. at RJ Slater IV Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1000 Freeport Rd., New Kensington. 724-335-0100.
