In Loving Memory of Maxine Tutelo
Maxine Tutelo, aged 85, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, surrounded by her family at Harmar Village in Cheswick. Born on October 8, 1938, in Butler to the late Max and Sophia Kadunce, she was the beloved wife of the late Robert Tutelo (2021).
Maxine is remembered as a devoted mother to Gina (Michael) Powers, Christopher (Barbara) Tutelo, and the late Lauren (survived by spouse David) Meleason. She was a cherished grandmother to Eric Fischer, Nicolette (Nicholas) Fate, Jordan Tutelo, Jenna Dahlstrom, and Kellee Tutelo. Maxine also took great joy in her role as a great-grandmother to Benjamin, Jaxson, Gabriel, & Miley Fisher, and Emmett, Saylo, and Shyloh Tutelo. She was a sister to John (Judy) Kadunce. Alongside her parents, husband, and daughter, Maxine was preceded in death by 14 siblings.
Maxine's life was filled with passion and purpose. She embraced her role as a Foster Mother, nurturing and caring for those in need. Her green thumb was evident in the vibrant garden that graced her yard, and she found solace in the art of antiquing and the escape offered by a good book. Among her favorite activities was her unique hobby of collecting buttons, a passion she shared with fellow enthusiasts as a member of the Keystone Button Club for nearly three decades.
Private arrangements have been entrusted to RJ Slater IV Funeral Home & Cremation Service, located at 1000 Freeport Road, New Kensington, PA. For further information, please contact 724-335-0100 or visit www.rjslater.com.
