Michael Cercone 65, of Aliquippa, passed away on May 28, 2024, preceded in death by his father, Fred Cercone Jr. He is survived by his loving mother, Dena Cercone, age 98; his brother, Fred Cercone III and wife Anna; his nephew, Jason Cercone and wife Chelsey; his niece, Pam Veze and husband Brian; and his great-nieces, Cayla, Grace, Carleigh, Andie, and Layla. Michael cherished the many loving relatives and friends in his life.
Michael had a lifelong passion for music, especially playing the bass in his bands, which included Spectrum, Dolly’s Boys, The Features, Silencers, Gun Slingers, DeWild, and Stiletto.
He resided in Myrtle Beach, SC, where he worked as a chef at many restaurants. His final job, from which he recently retired, was at Precision Garage Door Company.
Although Michael lived alone, he did not pass from this life to heaven alone. He was with his beloved nephew during his passing.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the West Wing Oncology Unit at Shadyside Hospital for the exceptional care they provided to Michael and his family.
A celebration of Michael's life will be held at Impact Christian Church in Moon Township on June 8, 2024, at 11:00 am, followed by a catered luncheon in the church café.
