In Loving Memory of Michael Andrew Fox

Michael Andrew Fox, a cherished member of the New Kensington community, peacefully departed this world on December 8, 2023, in Pittsburgh, PA, at the age of 63. Born on June 27, 1960, in his beloved hometown of New Kensington, Michael was the son of the late James C. Fox and Julia A. Christian Fox.

Michael’s journey through life was marked by warmth, passion, and an enduring love for family. He was the beloved fiancé of Rebecca Jo Porter and the proud father of one daughter, Jessica Lynne Edwards.

During his youth, Michael’s zest for life was evident in his pursuits as an avid basketball player and a dedicated track athlete for his school. A graduate of Memorial Technical High School in Erie, PA,

Michael fostered a lifelong love for Pittsburgh professional sports and found joy in the meticulous restoration of antique gaming machines. Beyond his hobbies, Michael’s heart was most content when surrounded by family and friends during his leisure hours.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, James C. and Julia A. Fox, his sister, Cheryl L. Fox, his brother, Stephen C. Fox, and his fiancé, Rebecca Jo Porter. Despite these losses, Michael’s memory lives on in the hearts of those who loved him dearly.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Jessica Lynn (Krystal) Edwards of Hollywood, MD, two brothers, James C. (Ruth) Fox of Cheswick, PA, and Raymond C. Fox of Dunedin, FL, as well as two sisters, Mary Ellen Petrosky of New Kensington, PA, and Paula Cross of Raleigh, NC.

The Fox family invites friends and family to join them at RJ Slater IV Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1000 Freeport Road, New Kensington, for a Memorial Service on December 29, from 1:00 to 3:00, with a Blessing service at 3:00. This will be a time for remembrance, reflection, and the sharing of cherished memories as we celebrate the life of Michael Andrew Fox.
