Michael K. Rakes, 50, of Leechburg, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021. He was born November 25, 1971, in New Kensington to Josephine E. and Michael K. Rakes. Michael is survived by his daughter, Tamira Jean, brother Stephen, sister Tracy Lynn, and numerous extended family.
Michael's passion was working with horses, playing guitars, and music. He had several professional endeavors that were superseded by working at stables and caring for the horses.
Arrangements will be private and entrusted to RJ Slater IV Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1000 Freeport Road, New Kensington. In lieu of flowers, monetary contributions can be sent to the funeral home in care of the family.
