Michael Tortorete

Michael J. Tortorete 65, on March 31, 2021 after a valiantly fought battle over many years with Primary AL Amyloidosis. Born June 6, 1955 in Monroeville Pa to the late Pasquale C. Tortorete and Joanne Rose (Magnelli) Tortorete.

Michael’s strong will to beat his illness presented him with many difficult treatments, with each and every one, he faced them with strength, courage and grace. We will fondly remember him by the great times we’ve shared through his love of fishing (determined to catch that ‘Big Bass’), target and skeet shooting with friends, his love of good food, cool cars, music and teaching his son to play acoustic and electric guitars. All these shared experiences and many more as a husband, wonderful father and friend are our forever memories of Michael/Dad.

He graduated from Serra Catholic High School and was a 1980 graduate of Robert Morris University College during which time he attended St. Bernadette Catholic Church in Monroeville, PA. He worked at Federated Investors Corporation followed by a successful independent consulting career and a business entrepreneur.

Michael’s life will be celebrated with family and friends on a summer day where we will share our memories of him and the many things he loved. While we will forever love and miss him greatly, we know he is at peace with the Lord.
