Patricia Jean Rossi, 87, of Arnold, passed away at home on September 18, 2021. Patty was born in Arnold, Pa, on December 3, 1933, to the late Francesco P. and Ann Elizabeth (Siviglia) Rossi. She is the sister of Donald (Gerie) Rossi, dear aunt of Mark (Wendy) Rossi, John (Christine) Rossi, and great-aunt to a great-niece and a great-grandnephew. Patty also leaves behind several cousins.
Patty was a Ken High graduate in 1951, Indiana University in 1956, and Carnegie Mellon University in 1962. A lover of language, theater, classical music, pop-jazz. She was an amateur gardener, a watercolorist, swimmer, tennis player, hiker, and Nordic skier. Patty was also an avid traveler, traveling to 10 countries, including a memorable trip to Italy to visit the birthplace of her father
Patty was passionate about teaching and helping wherever she could, especially throughout her surrounding communities. She volunteered in Lima, Peru, with the Pittsburgh Public Theater, and many others. She took pride in teaching her students music and playing the piano. She also was the founder of the Alle Kiski Music Day Camp
A funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Mount Saint Peter Roman Catholic Church for the family and friends. Burial will be private. Due to CDC guidelines, the wearing of masks is encouraged.
